In the wake of bad things happening,
I like to listen to sad music,
And think sad thoughts,
Because it's easy to become pessimistic,
When bad things happen.
After the gloom and the negativity,
I like to dream that one day,
Everyone will have a share of happiness,
Everyone will have fulfillment,
And no one will feel pain,
Then everyone will say to everyone else,
"It's wonderful to be human."
This dream, I'm sure,
Is dreamed by many,
And it's an unlikely dream,
If there ever is one.
But I like to keep dreaming,
And believe in the unlikely,
Because some dreams,
Even pipe dreams,
Are worth believing in.
